London Rock & Rollers Ballin’ Jacks Release New Single ‘Life’s A Gas Leak’
London alternative rock and roll outfit Ballin’ Jacks fuse rhythm and blues, soul, and psychedelic-rock to create their remarkable signature sound. The band unveil their new single ‘Life’s A Gas Leak’, a baroque meets psych-pop offering through a modern lens, flaunting thoughtful lyrics and soulful vocals across a hazy soundscape.
Ballin’ Jacks says of the meaning behind the track: “Buddha said that life is suffering… we can all relate to that sometimes. Also, scientifically speaking, life probably is a gas leak.”
‘Life’s A Gas Leak’ was recorded at Konk Studios and mixed and mastered by Brett Shaw (Foals, Florence + The Machine) at 123 studios. ‘Life’s A Gas Leak’ follows up from their debut single ‘Success’, which earned the band press support from Vents Magazine, Music Crowns, Fame Mag to name a few. As well as releasing their debut single, 2021 also saw Ballin’ Jacks perform at Latitude Festival.
Ballin’ Jacks really started in 2014 and spent around 4 years gigging around London building up a strong following and even played slots at Glastonbury Festival. Since then the band have endured many obstacles, including Brexit and a global pandemic that resulted in multiple changes to their line-up. The unstoppable force of Ballin’ Jacks, however, endured and found its final form with Rudy Blu (Vocals/Guitar), George Adams (Guitar/Vocals), Freddie Waxman (Piano/Vocals), Euan Dean (Bass) and Joao Grazi (Drums).
Currently working on their debut album and tour dates on the horizon, there’s plenty more to expect from Ballin’ Jacks very soon.
‘Life’s A Gas Leak’ is slated for release on January 21st, 2022.
